Food Insecurity in Bethlehem
Your donations of food and supplies go directly to the shelves of the Food Pantry at Bethlehem Town Hall, where volunteers and outreach workers work tirelessly to fill gaps in people’s needs.
When food drive donations are down or the number of residents facing food insecurity increases, we at Friends of Bethlehem Seniors write the checks to cover the gap, ensuring that no family goes without.
How you can help
Your monetary donation is the best way to support the food pantry, as we purchase food directly from the Regional Food Bank at a discounted rate, which also allows Senior Services to purchase food as needed so it is not at risk of expiring.
Your donation of food is appreciated and can be dropped off at the Bethlehem Town Hall or at a variety of donation bins around town, including: Bethlehem YMCA, Delmar Hannaford, McCarroll’s, and Bethlehem Public Library.
You can organize a food drive and coordinate it with the Outreach Workers at Bethlehem Senior Services.
You can volunteer in the food pantry and at our big food drives twice a year hosted by the Cub Scouts and US Post Office.
